Lions And Hyenas As Pets? You Have To Meet This Man!

We love the Lion Whisperer!

Meet  Kevin Richardson, and no, we are not talking about the Backstreet Boy. This man is known as “The Lion Whisperer”.
Kevin started studying zoology in college, but he quit after two years because he thought the courses were too repetitive and they didn’t teach enough about mammals. He ended up studying exercise physiology, which is a career that has nothing to do with animals. Eventually he took a part time job at the Lion Park, near his hometown of Johannesburg. Now he works with these adorable “kitties” for a living.

When he was 23, and still studying exercise physiology he was offered the chance to take care of two lion cubs. After this, he knew this was his life’s calling.

For almost 20 years, Kevin has been working with lions and hyenas. When you see his videos with these imposing animals, it’s seems as if they his pets. They are super gentle.

Look at this hyena. It’s as if it was in love with him.

The King Of The Jungle And Kevin

People might think that Kevin can get close to them because they might be trained, or missing their teeth or their claws. But don’t be fooled. These animals live free in the wild and have all their teeth and claws.

Respect the king.

Wild Life

Kevin is an admirable man. He has spent his life protecting these animals who are constantly victims of illegal hunting.
And these animals are really grateful to him.

We really love every single video Kevin uploads on his Youtube Channel. It truly gives us a sense of the emotional bond that Kevin has with his felines.
It even makes us reflect, why do people hunt and kill this beautiful and majestic creatures.
The only threat in this world, are humans.

Many people don’t like hyenas, but when they hang out with Kevin they seem as if they were cute and cuddly puppies.

Unconditional Love

Of course they are wild animals, but that doesn’t mean that they don’t love.

For these animals, Kevin is not only their leader but their friend.

Gathering of Kings. Each and every single one of them is so majestic.
This man takes advantage of his fame to produce documentaries about these animals and create consciousness about the illegal hunting.
He has helped making TV ads with these lions.
We need more people like Kevin in this world please.
